The Hoover lacrosse team was formed in November of 2005 and competed in their first season in 2006. The team finished 7-5 on the season losing in the state championship to Mountain Brook high school after defeating Vestavia Hills in the semi-finals earlier that day. Hoover was lead by sophmore midfielder Brye French who finished the season with 40 goals. Hoover is coached by Chris Cos (Head coach) Randy Nace (assistant coach) Greg Wingo (assistant coach) and Dan Jordan (Head cach for Spain Park high school in 2007). Hoover practices at the Hoover central football fields and Hoover high school.

March 5, 2006

Hoover records first ever victory agianst Brentwood academy from Nashville, TN. Hoover won 7-5, Brye French scored 4 goals, Caleb Robertson, Thomas Davis and Jayson Mullins each added one goal apiece.


March 4, 2006

Hoover's first ever lacrosse game was played at Berry Middle school against Christian Brother's from Memphis, TN. Hoover lost the game 11-4. Brye French scored the first ever Hoover goal
